The Michigan Association of Ambulance Services Stars of Life program celebrates the contributions of ambulance professionals who go above and beyond the call of duty in service to their communities or the EMS profession. Recognize these unsung heroes at your ambulance service by nominating EMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, and other EMS professionals for this year’s class of Stars. Stars and their guests, accompanied by agency executives, are celebrated in a series of events in our state capital. Stars of Life honors the contributions of these heroes while shining light on the critical role EMS plays in our healthcare infrastructure. Who are our Stars? All employees of ambulance services are eligible for nomination for the MAAS Stars of Life program. All nominees are recognized as Stars. Examples of individuals commonly nominated include:

Nominations are due June 30, 2025 Nomination and Registration Process First, fill out the Star Nomination form below. To help defray the costs of recognizing our Stars, it has become necessary to implement a $100.00 nomination fee for each Star. After submitted your nomination, MAAS will send an invoice to the Sponsor's email address. Please remit payment via credit card or to view a printable invoice to mail with your check. The Stars of Life nomination process should be completed by one person for all nominees from your agency. All fields are required, INCLUDING HEADSHOT FOR STARS, and the form cannot save partially completed registrations. MAAS strongly recommends assembling all materials for each Star and Nominator before beginning online registration. For each Star, you will need:
