Donation Refund Policy

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. Donations are normally non refundable but if you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card. 

EMS EXPO Registration Refund Policy

Purpose:
This policy establishes the guidelines for refunding registration fees for Michigan EMS EXPO and any other event hosted by the Michigan Association of EMTs, ensuring consistency and transparency for all participants.

1. General Policy:
Refunds for conference registration fees are available under specific conditions outlined below. All approved refunds will be subject to a non-refundable $50 administrative fee.

2. Refund Eligibility:
Refund requests must be submitted in writing by email to [email protected]. The eligibility for a refund depends on the date of the request and the circumstances for the request:

  • More than 15 days before the conference start date:
    A full refund minus the $50 administrative fee will be issued.

  • Less than 15 days before the conference start date:
    No refunds will be issued.

3. Substitutions:
If a registered participant cannot attend, a substitute from the same organization may attend at no additional cost. Notification of a substitution must be submitted in writing at least 5 days before the event.

4. No-Shows:
Registrants who do not attend the conference and do not submit a refund request within the specified time frame will forfeit their entire registration fee.

5. Cancellations by Organizer:
In the event the conference is canceled by the Michigan EMS Foundation, registrants will receive a full refund, including the $50 administrative fee.

6. Method of Refund:
Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of the event and issued to the original method of payment.

7. Policy Amendments:
This policy may be updated at the discretion of the organizing committee. Any changes will be communicated via the conference website or email.

 

Membership Dues Refund Policy

Purpose:
This policy outlines the circumstances under which membership dues may be refunded, ensuring clarity and fairness for all members of the Michigan Association of EMTs.

1. General Policy:
Membership dues are non-refundable except as expressly provided in this policy. By submitting payment, members acknowledge and agree to this refund policy.

2. Eligible Refund Situations:
Refunds may be granted only under the following conditions, at the sole discretion of [Organization Name]:

  • Duplicate Payment: If a member accidentally pays dues more than once for the same membership term, a full refund of the duplicate payment will be issued.

  • Administrative Error: If dues were charged in error due to a mistake by the organization, a full refund will be issued.

  • Cancellation Within Grace Period: If a member chooses to cancel their membership within 14 days of payment and has not used any membership benefits, a full refund may be issued upon written request.

3. Non-Refundable Situations:
Refunds will not be granted under the following circumstances:

  • Dissatisfaction with membership benefits or services.

  • Failure to use or take advantage of membership benefits.

  • Termination of membership due to violation of organizational policies or code of conduct.

  • Partial year cancellations or downgrades.

4. Requesting a Refund:
To request a refund, the member must submit a written request via email or mail to [email/contact address] including:

  • Member's full name and contact information

  • Date and method of payment

  • Reason for the refund request

Requests must be submitted within 30 days of the payment date.

5. Processing of Refunds:
Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving a complete refund request. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment unless otherwise agreed.

6. Policy Updates:
This policy may be reviewed and amended at the discretion of the Board of Directors. Members will be notified of significant changes.
